first, you have to have been to a lot of gigs, like at clubs, coffee shops, that sorta thing. that way, people will get to know your band better and you'll be more well-known. so, after you're pretty well-known, some record copany will offer you a contract or whatever and thats when you're truly considered famous, like the big bands. but it's not as easy as it looks, good luck!:)
