For me Mariah I do love her vocal range , but leona is getting up there in the top and I wish her the best of luck .
I HATE it when people say Leona is the new Mariah or the new whitney , no one will ever be the new whitney or mariah just like know one will be the new Leona.

well Mariah has obviously more singing experience so she would have a better vocal talent than Leona as she has just stepped into the business and really has only done one or two of the same style songs where as Mariah has had different types of songs with different notes all throughout her career... i would say Mariah all the way

Mariah's range is truly amazing and i don't think anyone can really do it like her. (i agree with porcelain sky)
I do not want to compare different artists and i don't want to say that Leona is the next mariah carey or anything like that. I think she's the next Leona Lewis.
Mariah. The "next" Mariah means versatility, uniqueness (strikes out on that one, already) and longevity. Can Leona have a number one every year for the next 10 years? (I'll spare you the other stats). That will be the "next" Mariah.
