Why did My Chemical Romance change?!
Question: I listened to The Black Parade before I fell in love with Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge and they changed a lot.
Their songs were better before, they screamed more and they were much more hyper and seemed more heartfelt.
Did they all get happy or something?
I hope "The Black Parade Is Dead" sounds like Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge.

They've matured. Not matter how cliched that sounds it's true.
In my oppinion "Bullets" is their best album but I still enjoy their others.
PS- The Black Parade is Dead is just a live DVD, not a new album with new songs
they actually grew up and quit doing things just because othe rpeople were doing them
they also now reach a far larger fan base which spreads their message (which indeed is on the right track) faster as time is running out

Changes happen. Maybe they wanted to try something a little different. I dunno. If you want to know, you would have to ask them yourself. And apparently, people weren't exactly being very nice to them.

I think they grew up..alot. The screaming is annoying anyway. I think they got across their message in a much more pleasant way then the other albums. Gerard said they all grew up and aren't so angry about life anymore. I'm glad for them : )
it's called the record label. the first release is their own everything after that is orientated for radio play. that's what selling out is
my chem change with every album if you listen to i brought you my bullets you brought me your love you will see how they transitioned into three cheers and then to the black parade i love my chem i love the fact they change with every album it makes them exciting because you never know whats coming next. i think they change for the best i agree 3 cheers is a master piece but the more they change the more likely they are to have a more exciting album

they decided to take a new root in music, but in a interview not long ago Gerard (way) said that there next album they will be going back to there roots so it should be like, "you brought me your bullets you brought me your love" or like "three cheers for sweet revenge".
by the way the black parade is dead! it a DVD of the last concert they did as "the black parade" because they will never play the whole album live or dress as them again so want to say goodbye properly to it/them.

I like all the albums, but I do prefer Revenge and Bullets to TBP. No particular reason.
And I'm sick of the "Money<Morals" thing. You don't know their motivations.
I prefer the old MCR really, but I love whatever they do.
I think part of it was to do with Gerard Way becoming sober. Im really not sure, but he became more sober around the time The Black Parade came about.
they switched their sound because they weren't making enough money by being "real" to their fans. haha
