Trying to identify 80s song?!
Question: Hoping someone out there can identify this song that I only heard a portion of while I was out but can't remember the song title or artist. Unfortunately I've got very little. I do know that it was a staple of 80s music and often used to promote 80s films (think John Hughes, teen rom coms).
It's synth heavy (not surprising) and the chorus is "in your heart" (or "to your heart") repeated three times. It sounds like it might be Peter Gabriel but I'm not so sure it is.

Based on your thoughts of Peter Gabriel, and John Hughes movies, I would also think it is "In Your Eyes" which was the main song in the movie Say Anything. BUT.. the lyrics you described also made me think of another song... "Let My Love Open The Door" by Pete Townsend.

P. Gabriel had a song with "In your eyes, your eyes, etc." in it. If thats not it I need you to try to remember some more lyrics
It's probably "In Your Eyes". It might be "Listen To Your Heart" by Roxette, but that is sung by a woman. Hope this helps
