Ummm. Bob Marley is probably the finest musician/singer/songwriter that ever lived. Everyone has always loved him. This is what it means to be a legend.

So you are saying that only people who heard him play live or knew of him when he was alive can be fans? so you are in your 40's-50's then I take it.
I say the more people that know of his genius the better, he had a gift and the more people hearing his words the better off this world will be.
I even hope someone reads my answer and pops in a Marley Cd and discovers him all over again.
I've always loved Bob Marley, and it shouldn't matter where one hears about him, the fact that they are listening to his great music is enough for me.
