yeah. i like rap for the meaning behind it. not a lot of people understand what rap is all about and can appreciate it. i admit, it ain't what it used to be, when you had the likes of 2pac and Notorious B.I.G. a.k.a. Biggie Smallz, and disputably the greatest white rapper in Vanilla Ice, but it ain't all that bad today. and there are people out there that are great rappers or those that are really good, and go undiscovered because people don't give them the opportunity to do what they can do. people don't understand how hard it is to actually rap until they are faced with it themselves. it's lyrical as well as rhythmical, however some people tend to think that anyone can rap.

Rap USUALLY doesn't take a whole lot of musical talent. Therefore it is rightfully less respected as a less dignified mockery of "music" in the music business.

hmm let's see...most rappers talk about how many girls they banged, how they used to sell drugs (or still do), how they got shot x many times, etc. tell me, where's the meaning in those pointless themes? and it makes me soo angry that in a lot of rap videos, women are shown as sexual objects dancing next to the single man. and you need to work on your grammar
HUH? I like rap, and I believe that the majority of artists out there are just rhyming to make the G's. I don't find too much meaning behind rap any more. Maybe some of Kanye's stuff, and a few random examples from other artists, but not much more. It's all about the benjamins baby!
