What's the heaviest music that your parents will tolerate?!

Question: Dad: Death Metal
Mom: Symphonic Metal

Answers: Dad: Death Metal
Mom: Symphonic Metal

THE HEAVIEST...EVER

My folks are into rock

my mom used to complaine when id listen to iron maiden, then when i was listening to carcass she didnt think maiden was so bad anymore

That is very good question but my mom has never listened to my music even though she knows I listen to it. But I think she'll let me listen anything since I have to deal with her music blaring everyday.

Hey I'm listening to Carcass too, "Arbeit Macht Fleisch"!!

well sometimes i have that screamo stuff on and they dont like it, but will let me listen to it. sometimes they'll tell me to turn it off.

but i usually dont listen to "MY" music around them. usually i listen to classic rock around them.

Well my dad doesnt mind cause he loves heavy music.
And, well, my mom thinks that Nickleback is "very heavy".

Lol

The most my dad can tolerate is Arch Enemy. No black metal or anything. My mom probably won't even listen to Metallica It 'scares' her.

They don't care. I can play Goatwhore, Unearth or Mastodon and they won't care.

Reggaeton

Man, my mom won't even listen to Pink Floyd. She does like Aerosmith and Van Halen though. I don't get it. She also likes 90s alternative, but she hates the music I listen to. Haha its sorta funny actually.

My dad tries to listen to what I do, but it doesn't work out well. He likes older stuff, like from the 60s and 70s. He does like Motorhead though.

Well, I'm over 30 now, but when I lived with my parents the one thing they really didn't like me blasting was Misfits.

My mom can tolerate most things heavy except the crazy guitar solos annoy her. She only complains when its Pearl Jam for some reason....

LOL @ Carcass.

Anyway, my parents freaked when Metallica Black Album came out. If they knew the stuff I listened to know, they would freak. Something tells me they wouldn't like Dimmu Borgir, Old Man's Child, or CHildren of Bodom.

idk they don't mind my music

Well, I just finished listening to Pantera with Mom, so...

my dad likes Six Feet Under more than i do.

I got my mom to listen to the Melvins.

That's pretty effing heavy...

if it has drums or even electric guitar, its not allowed. but i can still listen with headphones
[=

the heaviest i listen to is slayer and mom likes em
shes a rock n roller...borowing my mot?rhead cds
shes pretty cool!
no idea bout dad

My parents have never been too much of a fn of my music, possibly the only bands I have liked that they have tolerated have been Nirvana, U2 and Black Album Metallica. After that, I basically stopped listening to my music around them

My mom hated everything I listened to. If she liked it I knew it sucked and would give her the album.

My mother won't even tolerate pop music.. my dad.. I've taken him places with Megadeth playing in the car and it never bothered him.

I'm afraid my parents would cover their ears if they ever heard anything heavier than James Taylor. After all, they're in their 70's now.

Mum - Smells like Teen Spirit

Dad - He is good with anything heavy, it's just the screaming that gets him.

My parents hate it when i listen to any kinds of rock. So they get angry when i listen to Iron Maiden, Breaking Benjamin, Halifax or well anything.

But my dad doesn't mind when i listen to Pink Floyd or Guns N Roses because he likes them.

Screaming also gets both of them.

lol my parents don't care, when i listen to death metal my dad makes fun of it my screaming satin is cool! but they hate RAP so .. yea our family are all metal heads

Johnny Cash. =0)

my dad will tolerate all metal but for my mom its a different story

They're usually fine with it unless it's screaming all the time, then my dad turns it up and my mom gets pissed.lol

Neurosonic

well, metalica heavy is probably too heavy for them to see me listen to. the most they'd let me listen to is probably guns 'n roses heavy. but i listen to whatever i want to anyways!
