Does Lupe Fiasco being Muslim affect any of your thoughts on him?!
Question: I'm a Christian but he is still one of my favorite rappers and i listen to everything by him. the only thing that i ever think about him is if i'm listening to one of his songs and he mentions God I always have to rewind the song and listen more carefully so that i can catch exactly what he said and if it disagrees with my beliefs i give it about 5 minutes of thought and then forget about it. it's actually kind of interesting thinking about it sometimes. the one song i've heard that i'm never listening to again is his freestyle to Kanye West- Jesus Walks called Muhammed Walks... that was just too much disagreement there...

I understand what you mean. When I first found out he was Muslim I wondered if I had listened to something by him that had contradicted my beliefs. And there were a few songs that mentioned something, but it doesn't make me doubt him as a rapper. He's good and he's one of my favorites no matter what his religion.

i never knew he was a muslim, and, honestly, i really don't care. religion is NOT a factor in good music, and i dont think his songs try to incorporate that at all. it's the music i love, and nothing else really matters.
