On the right side of my farm
He’s got a one-hand feel on the steering wheel,

I look around, turn the steel plow down.
He says “Farmer is something wrong”
I say “Nothing I was just thinking how we don’t have a cow”
And he says… “ Our cow is a prize-winning one, FFA ain’t got nothing on us!”
When your in the barn and you talk reaaalll slow, cuz its late and your papa don’t know.
“Our song is the way you dance, the first county fair, Didn’t kiss her and I should have”
And when I got home, before I said amen, asking God if we could hang out again.
I was walking up the front porch steps after FFA that day
Had gone and been trampled on and lost and thrown away
Got to the pasture well on my way to my lovin’ farm
I almost didn’t comprehend all the cotton,
And the note that saaaaid:
“Our cow is the prize-winning one, FFA ain’t got nothin’ on us!
When your in the barn, and you talk reaal slow. Cuz its late, and your papa don’t know.”
