first of all awww how sweet. lol.
well, there is a vast world of so many kinds of music. genres, what feeling u want to express. you gotta be more specific. what is it tht u wanna express to her?
well so far im gonna try and "analyze" the question and u though i dont know ya
ur a guy. so lets pick a song tht was originally sung by a guy. i dont expect u to be an expert singer so lets go with simple songs tht pretty much anyone can sing and still have it sound good. now those tend to be songs by rock bands. male rock bands.
since this is from your heart it would be better if u sang a slow or mid tempo song probably. it would also help if u could play the guitar cuz acoustic versions of songs just convey more feeling and have more of a connection. they also show honesty and how real u are.
Foo Fighters "Everlong":strumming is a bit tricky but if u remember the song u should be able to get use to it. it would tell her how much u appreciate her and it feels like u've been waiting all your life for a girl like her. she's perfect in every way and u cant live without her.
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus "Guardian Angel": Its slow and easy to strum with only 4 chord changes. its simple enough to mean so much. it would tell her how u'll always be there for her and do anything for her no matter what it takes. you'll protect her no matter what it takes. how everything she does just makes you smile and makes u love her tht much more. how u'll try to be her "one". and tht no matter whats goin on nothing will change and tht u'll still be there to love her. if she doesnt tear up at the end then either she wasnt really listening to the words or there is something wrong with her.lol.
Guns 'n Roses "Sweet Child O' Mine" : u've had to have heard this one before. great to play. awesome to listen to. it describes everything about her and how u feel. though this one would be more difficult especially since its describing another women and if ur lady doesnt have those traits. solo is pretty novice to play on guitar but the basic chords are like beginner chords. easy to play.
SR 71 "My World": this song has more of a raspy voice to it, th kind tht most rockers tend to have. though im not sure if this would be a good song to sing to her. though it does convey how much u appreciate and love her, it would really only be a song for if u werent together anymore, if she found someone new, and how u'll never get over her because she is ur "one"
Another person tht i could think of thts full of simple collection of single notes yet beautiul words is Secondhand Serande a.k.a. John Vesely. there are so many songs by him tht would probably fit what ur looking for:
"end", "awake", "your call" , "vulnerable", "maybe", "half alive"
listen to them and lemme know what u think and decide. in the future be more specific about what ur lookin and goin for and what u want to tell her. plus u could also have some humor in it.
PS. if u want to just sing a song without having to play anything u could try some Jesse McCartney songs if u could bear the torture of listening to it. Particularly songs from his first album.
