Do these Beatles songs mean anything?!

Question: the one song i really dont get is I Am the Walrus. it makes no sense to me "i am the egg man, i am the egg man, i am the walrus, koo koo katchu"? what is that supposed to mean? also Glass Onion, where did they get the idea of a glass onion?

well the walrus refers to the walrus in lewis carolls "the walrus and the carpender". then i guess the walrus was paul. if you check out wikipedi it has a whole explanation on the song. too long for me to type it for you but you can check out the link. it pretty much seemed to be an acid trip song.

The drugs were pretty good back then.

They were high.

When these songs came out the listeners were able to think and imagine for themselves.Today's songs are told in video form and leaves nothing to the imagination.Speaking of this it is not only true in music.

they might have wrote those songs while under the influence

very likely? ummm..they WERE high. it was the 60's-70's!!!

They were not on drugs. (At least not during this time)This was one of the songs they wrote for children. It is about Alice in Wonderland though. They had relatives that were kids and they inspired some of their song. Like Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. That one was written based off of a children's drawing.

yeah, i think it is weird. i rwally luv their songs. but those songs, wow! it sounds as if they were high! ouch! even though those songs sounded weird i really do luv the song in my life. that song gets 2 me. especially since it was in 3 things i knew. lassie, providence, and little manhattan. but those songs sounded AWKWARD! with all caps!
