What's the best rock band out there and why?!
Question: You can choose from any style of rock, including, but not limited to, classic rock, hard rock, blues/rock, etc.
I would choose the classic rock band Badfinger. My reasoning is as follows: they played rock, blues, jazz and country on some albums. Any set of musicians that can play each of those genres as well as Badfinger did, deserves a lot of credit. Plus, a lot of people rip off Badfinger's guitar parts, including Slash.

I don't think there is a 'best' band out there because there are so many that have talent and didn't just jump into the X Factor auditions and get an easy ticket to a little fame.
I think that the best rock bands (since there can't be just one) are the ones who can actually sing in their records and live, have meaning in their music and worked hard to get where they are today.
Besides, we all have our own opinions and different tastes in music. Therefore no band can be the best because not everybody will like just one band.

The Who. Their music transcends time and place.

I like The Kinks lately--just because they're badass and they write good songs--I can't really get into the specifics of it (it's a secret)

They play thrash,heavy,alternative,progressive metal as well as rock.
Tool... just listen to them,the music and lyrics show their superiority,no one does it like them,they're just that good and come on when you say "Tool" folks just understand,need I say more?
