like the first person ..i was gonna say chords but not with those letters...ive no clue**edit** i just searched the site you posted to further look into your question...i found this....Duration Legend
---------------
W - whole; H - half; Q - quarter; E - 8th; S - 16th; T - 32nd; X - 64th; a - acciaccatura
+ - note tied to previous; . - note dotted; .. - note double dotted
Uncapitalized letters represent notes that are staccato (1/2 duration)
Irregular groupings are notated above the duration line
Duration letters will always appear directly above the note/fret number it represents the
duration for. Duration letters with no fret number below them represent rests. Multi-
bar rests are notated in the form Wxn, where n is the number of bars to rest for. Low
melody durations appear below the staff...so it would appear to have to do with how long the note is held(the duration)

usually that is the chords, but that cant be. Maybe a metronome, i know it said Q=14? (i think)

IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE CHORDS. BUT IT SEEMS A BIT DIFFERENT. IF YOU WANT TO LEARN TO PLAY A SONG, YOU MIGHT JUST AS WELL SEARCH FOR THE CHORDS OF A PARTICULAR SONG. IT GIVES YOU MAXIMUM RESULTS.
TRY IT. IT ALWAYS WORKS FOR ME.

HOPE I WAS HELPFUL..............
