I'm starting to get into classic rock, what are some good classic rock songs!

Question: well were talking about classic rock in general here, so were talkin fleetwood mac, led zeppelin, queen, santana, heart. cream, those are all 70's if you wanna get more into the beatles rock genre (60's-70's) you want like the rolling stones, the beatles are clssic rock even borderline 50's rock sound so maybe you could compare their early stuff with young rascals ans the beach boys, as for more 70's you want the eagles, peter frampton, reo speed wagon, black sabath, janis joplin, is kinda "phycadelic" (if you will) like hendrix, theres actualy alot of different areas in classic rock youve got the basic 6o's and 70's then theres more southern rock like lynard skynard, doobie brothers, crosby stills nash and young, allman brothers, even the eagles have a southern flair, as i said there are many differednt levels of this genre even 80's stuff is sometimes considered classic rock like bon jovi, def leppard, guns n' roses, eddie money, but anything beyond that is just pushin it, so thats the basic classic stuff theres alot more to but i just named the bands with tons of hits but theres alot of great songs to. listen to stevie ray vaughan "the sky is crying" "crossfire" and "leave my girl alone"

Boston's entire selftitled album is the ultimate introduction to classic rock. It is the best-selling debut album of all time, too.

The fourth best selling debut album of all time is Guns N' Roses' Appetite for Destruction. They aren't necessarily classic rock but the album is a classic.

As far as other classic rock, I'd direct you to this site:
http://classicrock.about.com/gi/dynamic/...

It all depends on what you prefer and what you consider to be classic rock, though.

I could say Derek and the Dominoes, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc, but some might not consider them classic rock. D and the D might be , but the others could be considered southern rock, jam band, whatever.

I'd recommend Fleetwood Mac, The Moody Blues, The Who, and David Bowie. Thin Lizzy is essential.

For the record, Brain Stew and Sedated are NOT classic rock. Some peoples' answers absolutely ASTOUND me.
