How important to country is chris ledoux?!

Question: i hear his influence here and there

Answers: i hear his influence here and there

i love chris, however i don't think he ever got the respect he deserved in the industry. the only song they ever played on the local radio station was "cadillac ranch" and that was only once in a great while. then he passed away (r.i.p.) and all of a sudden they started to play all of his songs like they've loved him all along. if you don't have his 20 greatest hits cd--its awesome, and his box set is really good too.

He was Garth Brooks hero...And inspiration...

Alot i guess.
Garth Brooks learned about all that he knows from Chris.
Garth Brooks was listening to a tape along time ago (before singing career) and he didn't know who was singing until he heard the song another time and somebody mentioned that it was Chris who was singing
After that he respected ledoux alot
So much that when Chris was in the hospital Garth offered him a lung

What I an trying to say is that country is important to Chris and that Chris is important to country If there was no Chris Ledoux than there would be no Garth Brooks!

I think he was, to a point, ahead or behind of his time. In the mid-50's he could have been a huge hit, now he could have been. He was a big inspiration to many. He sang abotu life in a down to earth, real way. He wasn't fancy, he didn't show off, he just sang. I think he got lost in the Alan Jackson, George Straight era's.
