Answers: Post your favorite lyrics of any songs!!

My favorite lyrics? Hmm, I love the lyrics of How to Save a Life by The Fray because it's really meaningful. My girlfriend even cried after hearing it, I guess she remembered something when she heard it.

Guys! Let's hangout and talk about music in this new forum: http://www.musicmediaentertainmentgroup....

It's really cool to hear from you. See you there!

ABC?? hehehe i think all people knows it

This is the first day of my life
I swear I was born right in the doorway
I went out in the rain suddenly everything changed
They're spreading blankets on the beach

Yours is the first face that I saw
I think I was blind before I met you
Now I don’t know where I am
I don’t know where I’ve been
But I know where I want to go

And so I thought I’d let you know
That these things take forever
I especially am slow
But I realize that I need you
And I wondered if I could come home

Remember the time you drove all night
Just to meet me in the morning
And I thought it was strange you said everything changed
You felt as if you'd just woke up
And you said “this is the first day of my life
I’m glad I didn’t die before I met you
But now I don’t care I could go anywhere with you
And I’d probably be happy”

So if you want to be with me
With these things there’s no telling
We just have to wait and see
But I’d rather be working for a paycheck
Than waiting to win the lottery
Besides maybe this time is different
I mean I really think you like me

Have you ever seen your face
In a mirror there's a smile
But inside you're just a mess
You feel far from good
Need to hide 'cos they'd never understand

Have you ever had this wish
Of being somewhere else
To let go of your disguise
All your worries too
And from that moment
Then you see things clear

Recently I've really been into the song called Stop and Stare. It goes like this:

Stop and stare
I think I'm moving but I go no where
Yeah I know that everyone gets scared
But I've become what I can't be

Stop and stare
You start to wonder why you're here not there
And you'd give anything to get what's fair
But fair ain't what you really need

I like many many songs. A favorite of mine is Build God, Then We'll Talk by Panic At The Disco.
It's these substandard motels on the (lalalalala) corner of 4th and Fremont Street.

Appealing only because they are just that un-appealing

Any practiced catholic would cross themselves upon entering.

The rooms have a hint of asbestos and maybe just a dash of formaldehyde,

And the habit of decomposing right before your very (lalalala) eyes.

Tonight tenants range from: a lawyer and a virgin

Accessorizing with a rosary tucked inside her lingerie

She's getting a job at the firm come Monday.

The Mrs. will stay with the cheating attorney

moonlighting aside, she really needs his money.

Oh, wonderful caricature of intimacy.

Yeah (Yeah)

And not to mention, the constable, and his proposition, for that "virgin"

Yes, the one the lawyer met with on "strictly business"

as he said to the Mrs. Well, only hours before,

after he had left, she was fixing her face in a compact.

There was a terrible crash (There was a terrible crash)

Between her and the badge

She spilled her purse and her bag, and held a "purse" of a different kind.

There are no raindrops on roses and girls in white dresses.

It's sleeping with roaches and taking best guesses

At the shade of the sheets and before all the stains

And a few more of your least favorite things.

"For all the best deceptions and glamor covered stories, awards go to you."

well, i dunno if i can post all of the lyrics...

among my favorite lyrics are from "Viens, Mallika, les liens en fleurs" from Lakmé for its relaxing atmosphere.

but i do enjoy the moving and legendary "Vesti la giubba" from Pagliacci.

Eternal Silence by Phantasmagoria

Beyond that hill, a stone paved street rises up like the sun and your favorite piano notes
The common daily incident is lodged in this note forever
An umbrella weep, the day is filled with the moon, the reason of the day that we met by chance

You are alive. Let me hear your pulse and the flowing of your blood
I wish…heaven. I want to meet you
I’m eternally walking through these ordinary days
I wish…heaven. I want to meet you
Let me be the way I am at Time’s whereabouts

Alone, I approached the moonlit road where I recall you and the piano notes I heard
I don’t need anyone’s voice.
I wonder if I’ll still get to hear those notes, now.
Moving past memories, I see you, as if it’s the first day we met

You are alive. Let me hear your pulse and the flowing of your blood
I wish…heaven. I want to meet you
It’s too cold, too quiet.
I wish…heaven. I want to meet you
Time’s door won’t open, neither will your eyes

Will there be silence for eternity?
Can my wish be granted?
“I won’t say goodbye.”
Even if I can’t meet you right away.

I wish… heaven.
It’s alright if you still don’t understand this world, it’s alright if you’ve yet to set foot in this world
I wish…heaven. Because if the times comes, I can see you anytime.
I wish… heaven. I came to meet you.

I wish…heaven
I wish…heaven
“I will look at flower, flower, flower”

thats my fave song lyrics right now but tomorrow it might change,,,,haha

This is "A Pirate Looks at Forty"

This is my song, except I don't "go for younger women" because I am a woman. I just love to be on the water, love the ocean so much. And I feel I should've lived a long time ago.

Mother, mother ocean, I have heard you call
Wanted to sail upon your waters since I was three feet tall
Youve seen it all, youve seen it all

Watched the men who rode you switch from sail to steam
In your belly you can hold the treasures few have ever seen
Most of em dreams, most of em dreams

Yes, I am a pirate, two hundred years too late
The cannons dont thunder, theres nothin to plunder
Im an over-forty victim of fate
Arriving too late, arriving too late

But Ive done a bit of smugglin, Ive run my share of grass
Made enough money to buy miami, but I pissed it away so fast
Never meant to last, never meant to last

I have been drunk now for over two weeks,
Passed out and I rallied and I sprung a few leaks
But Ive got stop wishin, got to go fishin
Im down to rock bottom again
Just a few friends, just a few friends

Nice to see all of our friends every year. thank you
Friends.

Now I go for younger women, lived with several awhile
Though I ran em away, theyd come back one day
And I still could manage a smile
Sure takes a while, just takes a while

Mother, mother ocean, after all my years Ive found
Occupational hazard being my occupations just not around
Feel like Ive drowned, but I wont wear a frown
Feel like Ive drowned, Im gonna go check out
Peachtree street somewhere downtown
