Question: In my old mag from 89' it talks about them and compares Metallica to them....were they really that Heavy a sound? Im trying to find a song by them a rendition of the classic Summertime blues? thanks!:)

I heard of them & heard the music. Very much of its time. Sludgy hard rock, late 60s style.
Their version of Summertime Blues is famous...but Rush's version makes it sound like a Disney tune.
But their "Louder Than God" album is considered a hard rock classic.
* No. They're not half as heavy as Metallica. But for 1968, they were damn heavy.
Their version " Summertme Blues" is good. The rest of their stuff is just loud noise to me. (Like a louder less melodic AC/DC).
