A great songwriter who cannot play an instrument well... it is possible to shop !
Question: I am a great songwriter, if I must say so myself. :-) I am very lyrical and very melodic. I come up with melodies very easliy and I remember them easily.
I have a few kinds of recorders, cassett and digital. I own a pretty good keyboard which I want to learn to play... I took theory classes in the past which was a waste of time for what I want to do... improvising! Currently, Im attempting to teach myself.
Anyway, I have a lot of music software... like Magix Studio, Magix Music Maker, Cubase(sp), Audacity.
I feel like I have all the tools, except that I am not a musicain.
I have sooo many ideas now, that I just want to shop. If my songs are sang a capella I still believe that the message would be conveyed without the actual music playing in the background.
I just dont know what to do... what do you think?

I write songs too. I am in a band and can play a few instuments but I used to not be able to and had the same problem. I was going suggest software or a sound board but you say you already have those because there is music software for computers at computer stores like Best Buy and they have all sorts of things at music stores. There are all kinds of programs that you can make music using software t without actually having to be able to play an instrument. Like what is on the link above. But since you said you have the tools I am not fully sure what the question is but I doubt I did but I hope I was some kind of help. Good luck.
