I happen to like Lil Wayne alot...however, just like you said, nobody seems to jump to defened Wayne and there ARE about 500 posts a day about how much people hate him. I could sit and defend him all day long, truth of the matter is...I cannot prove anybody's opinion wrong. If they thing that Weezy sucks, it is strictly opinion and that is it. No one call tell me that I am stupid or 'lack a brain' because I like Wayne, nor can I tell them the same because they don't like him. None of us are advocates for Wayne...I could respond to every "We hate Weezy' post...but unfortunately, I won't get paid for that. And what do the people who post about hating Weezy all day get out of it? I'm sure he could care less whether we like him or not...I mean, he's doing shows and signing checks...we are just posting on a forum board....

best rapper alive is just a matter of opinion, as is ne thing else. ppl love weezy b/c of his punch lines and use of allusions and metaphors. i think his thought process is way out in left field and really diff. no one spits like him right now. his only knock is putting together complete hot songs, not just hooks or cameos, songs that have meaning but keep that gasoline flow.
