crappy music to me is all rap and country, since i dont think rap as music its just ryming fast to a beat wih does take some skill but they are not playing a instrument and the singing is mostly about sex and drugs, country is crappy music since its hick music and to me crappy music is just what i dont like so my music i like would be crappy to others
Crappy is when the musicians are bad, have no originality, persist on the really mainstream and superficial. I also don't like musicians pretending they are good when they are not, use playback or other singers to record a CD.
Many Pop artists can be crappy.
Paulina Rubio for instance is crappy. She doesn't even sing, she is all about showing the long legs and moving in a sexy way, but don 't make her sing live, your ears would bleed.
Umm... No talent rap groups. Anyone can go on stage and say hey hey hey yo yo yo.
MCR was not crap ... until they sold out to a bunch of tweenagers.
i think i would define crap as any bad that becomes a band to get on MTV, win some awards and girls, and make money.
I don't really like to categorize bands as "good" or "bad." I just refer to it as bands I like, and bands I don't like, because what's "crappy" or not is completely subjective.
Some bands I don't like, however, are Maroon 5, Bright Eyes, Madina Lake, and Metro Station.

well you have to look at both sides...i listen to every sort of music

If it suits you're taste, go for it! If someone just doesn't like something then that's up to them. My taste just doesn't seem to revolve around rap or country. But sometimes you can't just label ALL country as crappy. A good country song might come around and you might just be taken by suprise how good it is! Also, people might just be posers and say that band is cool even if they hate it. So you really can't judge what's good or not from someone else saying it. You be the judge!

i don't think MCR is crap. i think crap songs are those that have no meaning, or have screaming from start to end, not chaz's kinda screaming but the kind that makes ya think they got stabbed or something. i also think crap music is that were they have to use swear language every few words.

Good Charlotte, Hedley, Simple Plan and Nickelback are factory produced, "colour by numbers" music & lyrics. 3 Days Grace is anger music with energy...but at the cost of sensible lyrics. Many of their songs include the same message over and over and over and over and over....
Limp Bizkit is a given. ICP would take paragraphs to explain, but in summary their lyrical style and content is atrocious.
Slipknot is a band that is on the fence for this list, but I include them because I have a hard time finding talent in the band outside of the drummers.
Coal Chamber...well, it's unfair, but I had to listen to a few hours straight of their music, stuck in a car, and have lathed them ever since. Probably shouldn't be on the list.
There. I explained my picks. Can someone come up with a reason why all country or rap is terrible? Why not a single artist out of either genre could ever be anything near good?

MCR, FOB, Panic...not obsessed with them but some of their stuff is good.
for me, good = anything from REM (fav ever band) to Killswitch to Nightwish to random 80s pop stuff to Pink Floyd to Marilyn Manson.
rap and hip/hop....n nothing else.
