a couple, that I apply to my life. :)

"Take it easy, take it easy...don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy." -The Eagles. (one of my very favorite songs)

and....
"yesterdays are over my shoulder,
So I can't look back for too long.
There's just too much to see waiting in front of me,
and I know that I just can't go wrong..." -Jimmy Buffett.

:)

"strong if I can/but I am only a man/so i take her to the can/its the wrong way..."

brad had a way with wordz....not my favorite but its on now...

"I love you in the morning...when you're still hungover (awesome guitar bit) I love you in the morning... when you're still strung out"
Sunday, by Bloc Party.

I think, although simple, its beautiful (as is the rest of the song) because i think if you find someone who loves you when you're hungover in the morning then you're golden. um yeah, and thats it. you're welcome.

One of many:

"The most endangered species- the honest man- will still survive annihilation."

"Natural Science" -Rush

"I had nothing to say
And I get lost in the nothingness inside of me
(I was confused)
And I let it all out to find
That I'm not the only person with these things in mind
But all the vacancy the words revealed
Is the only real thing that I'v got left to feel
(Nothing to lose)
Just stuck/ hollow and alone
And the fault is my own, and the fault is my own "

--------"Somewhere I Belong"- Linkin Park

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear
- Run, Snowpatrol

and

Maybe I dont really want to know
How your garden grows
I just want to fly
- Live Forever, Oasis

One that makes me cry, and one that makes me happy to be alive =)

"Close your eyes just dream"

A Reason For Broken Wings - A Skylit Drive

I get the chills.

You mean nothing to me now
every time I think of you
I hope your heart dies

angel below - underoath

"In the lonely cool before dawn,
from your room you here their engines roar on,
But when you get to the porch they're gone, on the wind.
So Mary climb in,
It's a town full of losers and I am pulling out of here to win."

Thunder Road- Bruce Springsteen

The song is best when it's just Bruce and his piano from the Live '75-'85 or Hammersmith records...

"im gonna run into the forest and Never come back, and when i come back, im gonna be a knife master"

"Only take the time from the helter-skelter, every day you find everything's in kilter, you don't need a reason, let the day go on and on"

(Enya: Wild Child)

"Blend and balance pain and comfort deep within you, till you will not want me any other way."

Tool - "Stinkfist"

"Cold, but I'm still here .. "
Evans Blue.
It's pretty deep, if you think about it.

Growing up in a Bruce Springsteen obsessed house hold my favorite song is one of Bruce's.

"Baby this town rips the bones from your back
Its a death trap, its a suicide rap
We gotta get out while were young
`cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run"
- Born To Run

But I ALSO LOVE the Beatles

" Theres nothing you can sing that can't be sung. Nothing you can do that can't be done. Nothing you can play but you can learn to play the game. its easy. al you need is love. all yo u need is love. all you need is love, love, love is all you need."

Anything by Nirvana really..

''Im so ugly .. but thats ok cause so are you..''
''Im worse at what i do best and for this gift i feel blessed..''

The first time i heard Nirvana i was outraged and impressed. '' This guy takes pride in his apathy.. wow.''

Tool - Right In Two

"Angels on the sideline,
puzzled and amused.
Why did Father give these humans free will?
Now they're all confused."

You dont know what you've got till its gone! Cinderella ;) Glam rock kicks ***

The Skydiggers- The Truth About Us

(written through the eyes of lee harvey oswald)

"...where every girl and boy can grow up to be President or grow up to be the Presidents killer..."

Just as every cop is a criminal and all the sinners, Saints
as heads is tails, just call me Lucifer 'cause I'm in need
of some restraint
So if you meet me, have some courtesy have some sympathy
and some taste
Use all your well learned politesse or I'll lay your soul to waste
Pleased to meet you hope you guess my name
But what's puzzling you is the nature of my game

- "Sympathy For The Devil" - The Stones'.
One of many lines from songs that stops me in my tracks! Genius!

"I listened and I heard music in a word
And words when you played your guitar
The noise that I was hearing was a million people cheering
And a child flew past me riding on a star

There once was a note, pure and easy
Playing so free like a breath rippling by"

Pure and Easy, The Who

"Well, John the Baptist, after torturing a thief,
looks up at his hero, the Commander-In-Chief,
saying, "Tell me great hero, but please make it brief,
is there a hole for me to get sick in?"

"The Commander-In-Chief answers him, while chasing a fly
saying, "Death to all those who would whimper and cry."
and dropping a barbell he points to the sky
sayin', "The Sun's not yellow, it's chicken."

The actual quote is "The sun's not yellow, it's chicken". Just didn't feel right about it being out of context.

I have lots... I'll just put my favorites up though:

My Home - Thousand Foot Krutch
"I've done a few things I wasn't proud of. Might have said a few things that hurt you. But you're still the only one who fills me up, and every night spent alone was worth it. You are my home, you are my everything when I feel so alone. You are my home, you are my shelter when all my hope is gone..."

I have yet to express my love for this band. This would be my favorite song, simply because it's unspeakably comforting. This one lyric is so touching, it can make even the most disheartened feel warm.

What Do We Know? - Thousand Foot Krutch
"Maybe if we pulled together, we could change a million lives for the better, and maybe if we prayed a little more we would stop living in fear of the storm...
Every part is you, every part is me. Raise your hands and sing, tell them we can be. Show them who you are, show them you can see. Raise your hands and sing, tell them we are free."

Whenever I hear this song, I always want to just march out the door and make a difference. Screw the world, and what it thinks. It speaks to me so hard =P

Lastly...

Learn To Breathe - Thousand Foot Krutch
"I won't fight you, I'm not like you. Want to make you see what I see. I won't fight you, I'm not like you. I want to make you feel like I do... "

This is the best song bridge I've ever heard. 'Cool' doesn't seem to even come close to describing it. You really need the tune/beat in there to get the full effect, but this has got to be one of my favorites.

Tired of reading yet?

Enjoy!
