What's the difference between an Epiphone SG and a G-400?!

Depends. Epiphone SG could be a low end or a high end. A G-400 is basically a Gibson. They are great. The SG's could be the special, Jr. or another one that is generic and not very good.
If you're considering buying one, definetly get the G-400.
