i don't listen to "pop" music i prefer rock, R&B/Soul, hip-hop, and some alternative. but if i had to pick one it would be "love song" by sara bareilles, cause thats the only pop song i know.

most pop music is emo. but if I had to pick I would say "cars" by "gary numan" gary numan influenced most of the poser pop like "ministry" "gay inch nails" I mean "nine inch nails" a band called "fear factory" when they were good did a cover of "cars" with numan himself of their cd "obsolete"
