Uk stuff rocks. True undergrounds dig the UK for real. I been A taskforce fan before MFTC, and a K-lash nekoff addict before he put down "murda". Also love Jehst, Yungun, Doc Brown and Braintax. Unfortunately here, UK hip hop aint gonna get no love. But thats Aiight...Smart people know...

I Hate Amy Winehouse (DRUGGIIIE)
The Whole Nation Is Idolizing A Washed Up Bag Who Does Drugs All Day

That Dizzee song is good, and I liked the other Dizzee song from the UGK album. I'm not sure about that being big over here(remember Lady Soverign? I didn't like her though), but i do think they can gain some exposure from working with US artists.
Edit: Sway's okay, but Lupe was definetely better on the song, so I don't think he will do much in the USA(on an unrelated note, the chorus to that songs was bad).
Slick Rick was born in the UK and he was popular here.

lol..no crump and tea rappers are ever gonna take over the US market

n egro, go back into your hiatus

the uk has always had a very strong music scene. they don't need to come to america to become famous....

roots manuva has been very prominent in hip hop since 1999. dizzie rascal has been big since his debut came out 6 years ago..... and what about the streets? his last album wasn't as big here (i'm in canada), but his first two were quite big. and speaking of hip hop, what about banksy?? he's done so much for graffiti.......

currently there are quite a few artists from the uk making it big in mainstream music here like lily allen, amy winehouse, radiohead, lady sovereign, sway, kano, m.i.a. etc..... but this is nothing new.

what about a little band called the beatles? throughout history the uk has constantly been a strong musical force. the hip hop scene is getting wider recognition, within europe and especially overseas. however britain creating good artists is nothing new.

UK been good for years in Oz i been listening to that since about 2000.
I would say more of my favourite releases this decade have been from the UK than any other Country.
Skinnyman, Phi Life Cypher, DJ Vadim, Foreign Beggars, Blak Twang, Task Force, Braintax. All that Good Stuff.
Real Hip Hop that some of these US Fans would do well to listen to.

Some of them are good artists but there is also a lot of junk in the UK. I have hardly any respect for them except for a small few. I like artists such as Blak Twang, Dizzee Rascal, Amy Winehouse & SAS. Did you know that MF Doom is originally from England. But as for blowing up and getting big in the US? No way, they already have their own artists.

im from the UK in london and i think its great that you lot like UK rap but i dont think itll be so popular in the US. most ppl over here prefer american artists and most ppl here have heard of kanye but not dizzee rascal. american artists are generally more popular here than UK artists

if you like UK rappers you may like these songs:

and just for fun ill say that sway and skinnyman were born about 10mins from me ;)
