Question: Why would you disrespect a band you've never met. You call Fall Out Boy "fags". You say they're not real music. It's ridiculous how SO MANY PEOPLE know what real music is. I bet your REALLY smart, right? Dude, I assure you, NO ONE knows real music. Enjoy life and quit getting butt hurt about your girlfriends loving them more than they love you.
And for the girl haters, you need to stop conforming to what people tell you to listen to. Cut it out with the whole, "Hot Topic knows exactly what they're talking about!" or worse, "MySpace is the best place to find music!" If you were really an individual, which you most likely aren't, you'd be shopping at independent music spots, thrift stores, and thinking for yourself.
I'm not saying they're the best band on the planet, or that you need to love them. You're definitely allowed to dislike anything you want to. But you're crossing the line with having to rip at their faults to make yourself feel better.

I don't hate FOB. Infact, they're the only concert I've ever been to. Granted, I went to that concert for Cobra Starship and +44, not them but...ya. I'm just not particularly fond of their music. But it's okay.
I think a lot of people dislike them, because they believe they are sellouts. But really, Why should you be deemed a sell out for making succesful music, and doing your job and earning a living?
I agree that people shouldn't say they're gay. How the hell do you know they're gay? Also, that gives people the impression that they are homophobes.
I disagree that you say myspace isn't a good place to find music - I think it's great to find lots of independant bands, and keep updated on your fave artists.
Hot Topic sucks in my opinion. Sorry. And I agree that people should stop conforming. But that's not just the girls, it's guys too.
Real music is either everything or nothing. The drunk guy across the street singing some song he made up, that makes no sense because it goes "I....cat...drunk ****" or whatever, is indeed real music.
Good music is an opinion. People need to learn the difference.

I don't hate them persay. Just their newest alblum, Infinity on High, kind of killed them. I still listen to their old stuff though. =3
I think that most people hate them because they just don't like that kind of music and need something to hate. Or they don't want to be hated by their peers. Honestly, thats why I stopped listening to Avril Lavigne for a while back in like grade 7. But Im over that now haha...

I don't hate Fall Out Boy, I dislike them a lot. That said, why is wrong to hate them, why do you care? It seems to me that your defense of them is just as ridiculous as those you complain about.
Everbody has their own taste, but I don't care for the "Fall Out Boys". Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if they had any real talent. By the way my wife can't stand them either. Lighten up if you like them, listen to them, but don't expect everybody to like them.

I don't hate them at all. If they're playing on the radio, however, I will immediately turn it to another station/put in a good cd or ...fling myself out of the car if there are no other options.

and as for the "individual" statement you wrote down. If everyone started doing that, no one would be original, would they? Besides, no one really is original these days. Everythings been said and done before, and when someone finds something that hasn't been said/done as soon as they say/do it, everyone else will start saying/doing exactly the same.
Thus, individuality is barely an option.

uhhh I think you're thinking wayyyyy to into this. Don't let it bother you so much. Ive loved Justin Timberlake my whole life and most guys at my school make fun of me and say he's gay but I don't let them bother me. Now personally I don't really like FOB just cuz I don't like their music, but I don't call them gay. As for the thing about finding music, you can't patronize someone for finding music on myspace, it dosen't make you not an individual. That's just how some do it, and going to underground spots is how others do it. You don't have to go to all independent places to make you an individual. You aren't letting people think for themselves by telling them where they should get their music, and if they want to think FOB is gay let them, you just have to not let it bother you.
