Why are so many songs negative towards women?!
Question: Those men who are stupid enough to degrade women are the ones who do this. First of all I don't believe women should be treated as objects. They are human beings who deserve to to be treated with sensitivity and kindness. Women can be fragile individuals and those that treat them with disrespect are ignorant. Its sad that much of it happens in the black race but that is because some black men have a poor image of how women should be treated.

I noticed this happens a lot with rap. Western and country music is a lot the same way. Usually pop is the best!

well, in the mainstream there is, even with classics like the chronic. dunno why. Most rap i listen to doesn't have too much of it,
No all of them all, some of the rap/hip-hop songs are about how they show care for there woman sometimes. I don't know why they do I guess people are just joining the crowd so it carries on, but don't stop liking rap just cuz you hear alot of them talking bad about women, sex, murdar, cussing, annoying, always repeating themselves, and drugs cuz not all of them are like that.
There are a few that are nothing like that they just don't always put that on TV or on the radio to often, but keep looking I'm sure you'll find a good bit, I did. Not all rappers are always negative towards women, alot are or it seems like it, but things aren't always what they seem. You need to look into their lyrics more or more of their lyrics.... some of them atleast.
for three sad reasons: 1). because it sells, 2) there's truth to a lot of what's being said, and 3) you women, especially minority women allow it. you all dance to it and justify snoop. for example, calling you H's and B's. then rationalize it by saying it's just a song.
They're not negative to all women, just a certain 'genre' of women. If you get offended, you probably fall into that 'category'.
Unfortunately, that is the way they treat certain woman.
