Would you still love your favorite band if...?!

Question: They were a studio band? Ya know, a band that sounded good in the studio and album but sucked live? I would.

Answers: They were a studio band? Ya know, a band that sounded good in the studio and album but sucked live? I would.

no, i would not. they would just be a bunch of phonies. if i hear a band like that, i really just loose all respect for them.

i was actually just wondering how on earth they even get discovered the other day. i mean, when you think about it, they MUST have to sing live at some point to get a recording contract, so why would anybody sign them? i guess that these bands just have good commercial appeal.

i would not feel the same about my favorite band if i found this out.

Yeah, but I'd criticize 'em for it. Lolz.

yea because my favorite band has heart and meaning in their music, they also write all their own stuff. so yea

Yeah but I wouldn't look forward to their concerts.

Yeah i probably still would lol.

Of course I would still love them. You can't hold it against them. Maybe they were on drugs (depending on what band) maybe they fake the songs on studio and have someone else do them or maybe the crowd just gets to them. What bamd is it? Either way if they are good they are good. I have this weird feeling you are talking about Led Zepplin... so what band is it...put additional details!

Without a doubt. I don't go to many concerts anyway so it wouldn't be an issue with me.

Sure, why not? It's not like i'd see them live every day. That's what albums are for.

edit : As long as they didn't do a Milli Vanilli.

Mine kinda already does! I LOVE my favorite band anyway! At least the singer doesn't lip sync!

Sure I would.

yea, I love the Red Hot chili Peppers even tho the lead singer is terrible live,

yh i would still like them but i would not go and see them live!!

Yeah of course, Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, and Skillet, and Three Days Grace are totally amazing!

Yeah, I would just never go see them live...
XD

Not really.
My favorite band is phenomenal live though so I fortunately don't have to worry about that.
You can tell some bands kind of make their music better in the studio but in reality they suck.

no it would completely turn me off. be able to play your music live is a big draw for me.

I would still like panic at the disco defo.

I agree with the 2nd answer!
yeah, definitely,, because they're still creative enough to write the music that I love

And I always try to find out if the bands I like are good live before I buy concert tickets:]

I would still, because I know they could make good music SOMEWHERE at least. Just maybe not buy concert tickets.

yes

thats like a description of System of a Down. But I still like them, and they have several Grammy's.

also, if you listened to Nirvana live (excluding some of the songs on Live in New York) Kurt Cobain really wasn't that good of a vocalist.

Absolutely. I've never gotten the chance to go see my favorite band, so I have no idea if they suck live or not.

yeah I mean, not to critisize MCR, but I know some bands are better same-sound-wise when compared to their albums when they perform live
but Gerard's voice sounds good no matter what, so...
ROCK ON MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

of course i would! id probably not go to the concerts, but id still love them.

Yeah alot of my bands are lol

I hear Breaking Benjamin is fantastic live so no worries for me. But to answer your question, I'd still buy the album, just not see them in concert.

Depends how badly they sucked live.

yeaaaa

yeah definatly. e.g i love pawlo nutuini's music, i saw him live at v festival and he sounded awful but it was really funny i was laghing so much

no. it would mean that they only sound good when the music is edited and fixed. if they can't do it live, then they aren't a real band.

I would still like them cause I like music for its lyrics aswell so even if they sound bad in person it doesnt change the fact that they have great lyrics but I would have to say I wouldnt like them as much as I did before

gladly My Chemical Romance sounds GREAT in concert and i cant wait tell April so i can see it myself =D
