What do I need to know?!
Question: I've been playing guitar now for 4 months. I have pretty much learned and nearly mastered everything I most of the techniques I've learned. But what else do I need to know about guitar playing?

-learn to read sheet music
-scales
-soloing
-different types of music not just rock
-challenge urself, clearly if you are done with everything in 4 months u have not been trying hard stuff
-get a band together or school band or something
-get together with different musicians and share ideas and cool stuff to play and wat not
-HAVE FUN
my friend... you have to know the fact that you didn't master everything. Perhaps try scales. and believe me, you can't master scales... it's just something you can't master. Dude, you're looking at the guitar like it's something you do just for the hell ov it and then dispose. NO! there's a whole lot ov ****.

you probablly couldn't play your way out of a paper bag, try practicing instead of bragging to strangers on the internet,
ive been playing for like seven years and can easily admit that I know nothing,
You've got to be kidding me right, 4 months. Man you barely just got the callises on your fingers. I've been playing rock guitar for 40+ years and I'm always learnin new stuff. There is a world of things to learn. Triads, arpeggios, different voicings, modals, theory, tapping techniques, sweeps, man I could go on for about an hour or two just telling you what you don't know. So please can it with the 4 months and you've mastered everything. Learning a couple of chords and playing a couple of songs, anybody can do.
