He is a rhythm and melody guy when it comes to his guitar techniques.

He works on tiny details of strumming patters, strokes, accurate string bends .. just to make his work funky and lose.

He is known for his funky riffs..catchy strumming.. use of multiple guitars in one albums.. use of many guitar to harmonise.. use off effects.. catchy solos

Oh i forgot the most important thing - his improvisation skills.
