emo means emotions, that is why I call the music whinny crybaby music. I'm not making a joke either, that is just how I feel. I'm a rocker my self, but the clothes and the makeup is OK. Never think that music is a fashion statement, it is a life style. You can dress anyway you want. If you like the clothes go for it.

Before emo got all psuedo-goth, the kids actually dressed normal, and a bit on the preppy side. Emo was just music that was punk-esque, but with more emotional lyrics. It USED to be about the music. Not so much anymore.
emo is kind of poser scene. scene is living for the music scene. now you know how you can see someone is preppy or hip hop, well scene/emo kids have they're own look too. Now im a prep at heart, but love indie rock and pop music as well, so when i go to concerts and such i dress up s a scene kid and tease my hair and wear dark eye make-up just for the fun of it.

emo was a fashion statement but thn it got took to far and it became the latest rage, just like scene was, then hardcore etc. at first there was like one or two people in an area like tht thn the sheep started doin it, the tiny jeans and tshirts, black hair over the face etc.. then the guys started dressin like girls to be more extreme, wearin make up wearing girls clothes, and the girls started acting like childen tryin the be the 'cutest' they could be, buyin disney bags/ bows etc. then it got to far when everyone started doin pussy scratches cuz theyre soooooooooooo depressed, but theyre to much of a pussy to actually do anymore then a penny burn =| its pathetic now coz its been took to far, and people wantin to be emo to be 'individual' are just tryin to fit into a trend that died out ALONG time ago
