around that time a few rappers were using alot of gimmics and focused more with thier names than actual lyrics. So it was creative to do his name like that. it looks good written down, and also, noone can copy it, every would know that's where you got it from if you did your name like his.

Ok for one tech n9ne is one of my fav rappers of all time, jus go to youtube and listen to his song breathe. I mean there is no other rapper who can flow like him, plus he spelled his name like that so it wounldnt be jus "tech nine" . He jus wanted to be creative, and spell it in a different way. tech did that just to get creative with his name it actually originally started out as tech 9 but then there was another guy on the west coast at the time that was callin himself that so tech changed his to tech N9NE so that people could tell them apart instead of changing the name that he had been puttin on everything for a few years at that point. Now i think the other guy has quit but tech is still goin strong! I own over 125 cds featuring him and some dvds but to get to know more about the man himself check out T9X the dvd and then coming soon is the psychumentary (supposed to release april 8th but no word on preordering yet so not sure!)
