I don't know, but Chris Rock was hilarious when he was going off on it. "Who the f--- comes up with lyrics like that and thinks it's good?"

I ask the same thing about Soulja Boy

YOOOOOOUUUUUUU

wtf is that?

it is a lyrical masterpiece, that reflects the sentiment of today's hip hop culture.

i like tha song, its stupid but way better then any of SOULJA BOYS RETARTED SONGS

skeets skeetss

Yeah, I have no clue what's wrong with people that listen to that kind of music. I love rap and hip-hop, but I would definitely put that song in the "other" category.

Haha i know those lyrics are terrible! The only answer i can think of is that it was catchy and became like a dance move thing.

... have you *listened* to some of the stupidity that's considered "popular" in the last 100 years of music??

There's no rhyme or reason to it... it's just whatever catches on with the general public.

You honestly can't tell me that *anyone* really thought the macarena was cool... yet millions of people still know how to do it! And does anyone really care "who let the dogs out? (woof-woof-woof-woof!)"

That song was the SLAM!!!

It was catchy, and usually the most popular songs are the ones we can sing along with, oh and it was a hot dance song too!! It was in every club.

it was the beat.

lol tht is pretty funny u made a good point there how did it become so popular i forgot about tht song but they still play it all the time good thinking that is making me wonder now

i remmeber that

exactly..why is rap even popular it dont talk about anything good or anything.

SKEET, SKEET, SKEET, SKEET, SKEET, SKEET!

That's just how it is these days. All you need is a club hit with a good beat. Nothing else matters.

you know sometimes we just wanna have some fun and then these clowns drop ish like that and let everybody happy

I Actually Like That Song
& Im Proud To Say I Do Bop Along 2 Soulja Boys Songs :)

I still get up and dance to that song. The lyrics suck but it was fun and the beat was hot and as much as people hate to admit it...having fun is still a component of hip hop.
