Question: Can anyone recommend a program for taking the voice lyrics/singing out of songs. There are some songs I want to practice singing without our band. Free or trial to buy would be great. Thanks.

There are programs out there that do this but they don't work very well. They distort the sound of the recording or make teh vocals very echo-y unless it is an old song with a very stable central stereo recording. It's unlikely to work well on anything from the 90 or later. BUT since you asked you can try http://www.powerkaraoke.com/src/prod_kar...
just don't expect miracles. I think they have a free to try demo.
Audacity doesn't do this and I've never used Splice.
