Do u think females rappers get fame from sexual lyrics?!

Question: Personally, i dont agree with it. I think u should get fame because u can rap. Not bc u cant talk nasty.

Example: Khia for those of u who dunno who she is its dat chick who sings My Neck, My Back..[I hadda make it clear for them Eason lol]

Shawnna- Gettin Some Head?

Trina- Nann *****?

Need i go on?

I agree completely. Its sad cuz most people can't get over the fact that chicks can be talented without being overly sexual. I mean as a female DJ/producer, I've used flirting and stuff to get numbers of people who run radio shows and gigs and other networking like that and I'm not going to lie - it works. I understand making songs like that to get noticed, it just sucks that some female rappers can't get past it. We all like to be sexy and provocative but I mean sometimes you just gotta say something more intelligent then how you entertain mad dudes.

yes they do. I think they also exploit their bodies like Rihanna. Then there are those like Missy Elliott.

Yeah you right. I really think Trina sucks.

If thats rapping, then so are the oh so little words in porno

and thats why Jean Grae is not in the spotlight

cleveage

Yes, female rappers get fame from sexual lyrics as well as the way that they expose themselves as women.

Well, some of them seem to now, which is sad. But the forerunners like MC Lyte weren't doing that. Neither did Lauryn Hill. Those are 2 artists whose names will go down in history - who the hell is going to remeber Khia in 10 years time?

lol, Unfortunatley yea they do There r sum good female artist I mean Missy elliot like u said id The **** without Having to dedicate all her songs to Sex & Actually Rihanna aint like that She became famous B-cuz of songs like Shut up & drive,Under my umbrella,Don't stop the Music.

i dont agree wit it either but s e xxx sells!

I goes on.... Personally I dnt no if I can single out a good female rapper since Lauryn Hill...Its that bad. It's like they help silently kill Hip-Hop and it affects the whole industry. Lil' Kim as well...How many licks. Then you have Tiffany Evans who isn' t that good but she isn't showin her body or whatever.
I think the worst is Kelis though. Lil' Mama is also good (in the current state of hip-hop, she would be eaten alive if it was 10 years ago) and she promoting herself well with that dance show gig.

the sad fact is theres mad talented female rappers that will never make it big 4 the simple fact that sex sells exspecialy in our society.... some female rappers that never have or will blow up bcuz there have lyrical talent without being sexualy explict like:
~jean grae
~bahamadia
~ lauren hill
jus to name a few........

I think they gain fame for what they want to rap about. Lauryn Hill didn't have to rap about stuff like Trina or Khia, and she gained fame for her skill. It does help them to Rap about sexual stuff, but it's their choice, and most of them know that it can help them. Lil Kim (back then) and Foxy talk "nasty," at times, yet I think they can rap.

yea they show too much

maybe sometimes
