Rock has become so diverse now a days that you're better off telling us what kind of bands you're into. If you're into alternative rock, I suggest the two latest songs by Thrity seconds to Mar, "attack" and "the kill"
If you're looking for new rock with an old blues type feel too it, The Black Keys' album "Rubber Factory" is one of the most amazing albums I've ever heard.
If you're looking for some hard rock without the big hair, I suggest the band Chevelle or Tool, or if you want a more metallica sound, go with Katatonia or Trivium.
If you're a fan of pink floyd, I'd try The Mars Volta, their album "De loused" comes as close to ground breaking as Dark side of the Moon, but with a distinct latin feel.
