I used to own both of the series. The ZBT cymbals are more thick, but the ride doesn't sound very good. However, the crashes sound very good for low quality cymbals. The ZXT cymbals are more thin and have special cuts in them then the ZBT's. This I think gives them a better sound. I do know that the ZXT's sound ALOT better then the ZBT's. They also have better materials to last in the long run, but I would not prefer these cymbals for long lasting cymbals. They usually crack after about a year of soft playing or about 5 monthes of heavy drumming.

If had to choose between those 2, I would have to go to a store and actually hear them before I could decide. If I couldn't do that, I would have to choose ZXT based on reviews, and the description by Zildjian, and the fact that they are a newer line in their budget series. As to which is more worth it in the long run....that's hard to say but I would guess ZXT.....Actually what would be more worth it is getting the A or Z series (preferably Custom Series) as those will last you forever, but I understand you don't have the cash......maybe buy one at a time and save a little for the next one......
