No?

No, it's not a concept record, it's a really good record, but not a concept record. It's just like what the first guy says, depends on your sense of creativity and wanting it to be a concept album. It could be, maybe about circus freaks that run a psychedelic circus or societey facing everyday problems that normal people always face, but have problems due to their physical attributes. Every song describes one person and specially what he thinks and what's in his mind, really psychological. I don't know though. That's just an idea.
See how you can mold any album into a concept album?

Probably not in the strictest sense. You could make a case for it, most of the songs are about alienation and death. But then there's "Love Me Two Times", which kind of flys in the face of the 'concept'...I can tell you this- it is my favorite Doors album and contains my favorite song, "Moonlight Drive".

If you're talking about The Doors album with "When The Music's Over", I don't think it is a concept album. I usually think of a concept album as an album where every song tells a piece of a story. Pink Floyd's "The Wall", Queensryche's "Operation Mindcrime" or any of King Diamond's albums come to mind.

No, I never considered it to be a Concept Album

I agree with the others that it's not a concept album. There's a dark, pessimistic tone throughout it which the album title alludes to, but it sounds like a bunch of guys experiencing the ups and downs of LSD use and is their best album by a long way as a consequence. With the amount of times I've listened to it, I've never thought there was a narrative between the songs
