Guitar strumming and chords??!


Question: i have three questions
1) On top of some sheet muisic it says ...this is just an example : strum pattern:3,4
what does that mean and what do you have to do in order to play it



2)on most sheet music , there are the notes then on top there is a chord.example

there are chord name on top of the staff .what does this mean and how am i suppposed to play that?

3)on sheet music when there is abunch of notes underneath eachother do you play them all at the same time?and on the same sheet if there are notes one at a time do i just play them normally?

1) This is basically a time siggnature in which sets a tempo at which you strum.

2) well from what i understood from this question. Sometimes it might mean to hold this chord position to make the notes that you play on the bottom. This is that you will always be in the position that the notes on the bottom give you. BUT this could also mean that the notes on the bottom are the lead lines, and the rhythym is supposed to play the chords on the top. YOu have to figure it out.

3) when there is a bunch of notes underneath each other, this is called harmonic notes, in which you pay all those notes together as if it were some chord. when there singled notes, this is called melodic notes, in which you just play them individually.
