What is the average weight of a guitar?!

Question: like other people said, 7-9 pounds, but there are some really light guitars like sg's and ibanez's, so some are lighter. my epi les paul is pretty heavy for a guitar, its around 8 or 9

Average is around 7 pounds....But I have one thats like 5 pounds, so in that range.

Electric: ca. 7-9lb
