The fact is that reggaeton came really strong and has slow down since. Some people ( and haters) interpret that has reggaeton going down but when you look at the numbers you saw just recently Wisin y Yandel #1 on the latin billboard for several months. Yes its not has dominant as it was in 2005 but reggaeton has done what no other urban genre has done which is complety dominate in a really short time, i mean it took years to hip hop to get to the current level. Reggae starts dont sell out shows in the US like Daddy Yankee does. ( except maybe sean paul ) Yes Daddy Yankee is having trouble selling out is last shows but last year he was # 10 for most revenue from a tour. Number 10 with artists like Akon, Rihanna etc, not bad for a small latino. Last but not least reggaeton is doing very well in country like Perou, Comlombia, Chile and i even found a very good canadian reggaeton site: http://www.ritmomontreal.com/ so its expanding. The biggest latin festival in the world is Vina del mar in chile and the fastests sold out day was the monday..... because Wisin y Yandel was there. So yes its has slow down, but theres no evidence of reggaeton dying. Plus the entire music industry is slowing down by the way, internet kills record selling, so dont worry reggaeton fan, i rest my case

I abandoned reggaeton music ever since the very 1st song came out...the gasolina song was catchy and I was proud of the Latino community for being innovative and I was ready for a new music movement to make history... but then all the songs after that one sounded the exact same to me. so in summary: reggaeton=lame
