yeah but home-recording usually sucks. it just doesn't work right...the recording really screws up your voice. if you ever become a singer, you'll find the pro studios actually make your voice sound better instead...:)
yeah duh singing lessons will help. you'll get your voice all professional and beautiful in just a few weeks. if you love singing so much, you should just go ahead and get the lessons <3 then you could become a singer!! i don't think your friend would lie to you and say you're a really good singer if you're not, right? good luck =)

take lessons and practice

no offense.. but if you suck at singing you suck at singing.. i myself suck but i do it anyway.. just enjoy the music.. vocal lesson will not help just waste your money

whoa i was totally distarcted by those Vs that i had to read your question again

yes i think singing lessons would definately help you, practice always makes perfect so you should give it a try , and tell your friend to be more honest to you

Sometimes if you are listening to music with headphones and you sing, most of the time you sing out of tune! I do it all the time! I think it's because you actually can't hear yourself- you can only hear the music fromt the headphones. So next time record yourself without the earphones in! Also, you might try doing some scales- they'll help you strengthen your voice.

hearing yourself will only make you improve on your weeknesses, that's how I learned to make better songs and sing them. your on the right track

I'd try to practice as often you can if you won't take lessons.
I'm 14 and I'd been practicing by myself (and it worked-->I learned how to strike the right chords) until last month, then I decided to take lessons to become more professional.

and if you want honest comments, post your singing on youtube.
