What is the difference between a Gibson SG Special & A Gibson SG Standard??!
Question: is the craftsmanship different? woods different?
I know the inlays look different, and the humbuckers arent as hot on the special, but other than that, whats different? why is the special cheaper?

Wow , well..one would think the standard would be cheaper , and the special....more! If you say the pickups are weaker and the price is cheaper on the special, then THAT's the budget / beginner model. Man! WTF is Gibson up to NOW!? I remember when the diff between a Les Paul standard and Custom was cosmetic appointments! You had single , or double binding. Then again , when i bought my LP Standard , list price was $749.00 , but if you offered the store $500, they'd give it to you , plus case.
