Silverchair? do they suck now?!
Question: Silverchair is one of my favorites, but only there first three albums, frogstomp,freak show and neon ballroom, they completely suck now in my opinion! im so disapointed! Anyone prefer the new stuff?

Halle-freakin-leujah!! I'm not alone on this Earth! I think the world has gone completely crazy. I hate Silverchair's new album more than any other music I've ever heard. The only decent song IMO is Mind Reader because the guitars are at least a little bit heavy and Daniel's singing is kind of aggressive and wild. But other than that, Silverchair definitely DO suck now. But I must be wrong because so many people love them.
I am right with you mate. I love their early material, Freak and Anthem For The Year 2000 are two of my favourite songs ever. The Door, Tomorrow and Slave are also amazing. They started going downhill with the release of Diorama I think. They got too melodic and pretentious. Remember the B-side "Trash"? Pure filthy grunge-metal. I love it. I'm not saying they should do more stuff like that, but a return to their old harder grunge rock sound would be most welcome.
I'm very proud of the band though because they're from Newcastle just like me. I'm proud that a Newey band has gone so far.
But I still can't stand their new sound. They've turned pop, and it's horrible.
yea they've completely changed their sound, i loved their older stuff. i'm disappointed too :[
Their new stuff is just disturbing... what did they do and WHY????? I saw one of their recent videos,again WHY??? Who needs blue eyeshadow on one eye????
