How can I help a friend, who is an extremely talented singer/songwriter, fulfill!
Question: He is HOT, and an amazing musician!! We have been close friends for a long time now, and I really want his dream to come true!
He plays locally all over, but I know he's too good to stuck in this small town of limited oportunity. What can I do to get him the exposure he needs to get the recognition he deserves for his talent? It's not really within the "pop" genre, so it's not like he wants to be the next American Idol or anything! (His style is similar to Damien Rice, Jack Johnson, Ray LaMontagne, Amos Lee...anyone familiar?)

try out for American idol or send a video or tape to a record company.
Just support him... I have known some AMAZING musicians... only one of them is doing "big-time" projects.
It's not how amazing you are... but getting someone who can help you to see it.
Encourage him to go to bigger cities to get exposure. Make DVDs of him performing and send them out to producers, my cousin made 2 CDs of the songs he has written and performed. You can rent studio time to make your own. Package them and sell them when he plays.
He needs to make demos, and get them published and get them sent to record companies. Maybe you can make phone calls to agents on his behalf.

this is really depend on him.. did he have a low self esteem if he is not he can try out in american idol, or maybe go to the place where they make a song... like u know well thats what life is.. u think that u won't be there ( for example ; i m a good singer and i have a low self esteem, i m very shy and i try out for master choir in my school which is just 24 ppl choosen and i was one of thme ) u c what i mean by that
