Amp settings for Rock or metal?!
Question: i would like a nice hard rock sound
i have a marshall half stack
my settings to set are:
Gain
Trebel
Bass
Contour

Gain 4 or 5
Trebel 10
Bass 4
Countour 7 to 9
less gain for a cleaner sound. more gain less contour for a Wolfmother sound
turn the bass up and the trebel down a bit if you want a thicker sound
and if you want massive sustain, trebel low, bass high, countour high, and gain all the way up
i will assume you mean for more distortion. if so try this
treble 5 bass 4 mid 8
the mids carry the tone.contour depends on the size of the room
and acoustics. just have to play with it and see.
