A bunch of old rappers are just mad because they arn't hot right now. For example, GZA (a member of wu tang) declared war on Soulja Boi; he's only 16 and having fun. The south has only introduce a new style of hip hop, so get use it. No offense to New york, but people from New York feel as if they own hip hop. I remember watching a clip of the Vibe or Source awards (which was held in New York), and watching Outkast get booed when winning best new artist, and Outkast can actually rap. Fat Joe said it best, "Why is everybody so mad at the south far change your style up switch to southpaw."

saying the South only has good beats and the North has the rappers.
The only good rapper the south has is Big Boi,Andre 3000,Mos Def,and Stat Quo (RIP)
because people like soulja boy, mike jones, and dj unk are from there. but the south isn't really hard core rap like the west coast or east coast rappers. it's more feel good have some fun music. but i still don't understan why these three afore mentioned rappers still have music careers. the sizuck!! i love dj unk by the way. walk it out!!

Because people are always looking for a scapegoat. That's sad come one, Look at T.I, Wayne, SCARFACE, Ludacris these are all artists that come from the south and that are all respected, established and popular Rap Artist. Come on people you cant blame Hip Hops problems on an entire REGION, that's just plain ignorant!
funny thing is (and im from the south, TX) is that the south was never actually blamed for it, but they reacted to the whole hip hop is dead (Nas) movement as an attack toward them because it started ironically around the release of about a million Lean n Rock dance songs etc. that all came from like ATL or wherever in the south
EDIT: 2 me, i think everyone had a part to do in it, when the trash azz music started (This is Why I'm Hot, Chicken Noodle Soup, Lean Wit It, etc.) where were all the real rappers at? Nas (haitus), Jay (haitus), Eminem (haitus), Lupe (too late), OutKast (idk), it wuz no one region's or state's fault completely
