Hip Hop Artist Comparison Vol. 2- Ludacris vs. Ti?!

Question: Im sorry I had to postpone this to Friday (Went to Super Smash Brothers Brawl Party yesterday. I still suck at that game lol) so I made sure I would do it today. I was also going to do Lil Wayne vs. The Game but I have a Game cd I wanna hear before doing so. Today will be the comparison of two of Atlanta’s high profiled MC’s, Ludacris vs. The King Of The South, Ti.

First off, I like both Mc’s. I love Ludacris and I like Ti so it was fun doing this comparison. Ludacris to me does not even sound like a southern mc. They bout make some off the wall music that is commerically entertaining and good at the same time…

The winner is Ti.

As far as flow is concerned, the link for those did not know, was how Ti used to flow. He changed his so he could be mainstream. Ludacris has a sick flow and when he has to, will unleash the beast inside of him.

The winner is Ludacris.

One thing I realized, which I see a big flaw of Luda is that he sacrifices lyrics when he wants to display a message. He will make a song like this…

And then go back to his regular style and rip it!!

^^^^ One of the hardest verses of 07 by the way lol.

This artist never had to sacrifice lyrics to speak a message…

The most important aspect of a career is the album they make. Ti has made 5 cd’s and I love three of them. Ludacris has made 6 albums and I only like one. Even though I am glad Luda won the Grammy for Release Therapy, if it was up to me, King would have gotten it over that cd. Also, my least favorite Ludacris cd is Chicken & Beer. When I compare that to Ti vs. Tip, an album where every guest song had him getting crapped on and where production was overshining his lyrics on songs like..
http://youtube.com/watch?v=zu6GXhLoE1E

I still rather listen to Ti vs. Tip over Chicken & Beer.

Now I bet you think Ti has won this thread. Even though it seems that way, Ludacris is only getting better while Ti is standing still. Theatre Of The Mind will be copped by me the first day it releases. Ti is too commercial as far as what he raps about for me to take him over a strivivng lyricist.

The winner of this Hip Hop Comparison Thread is LUDACRIS.

I agree. T.i. has somethin about him and idk what it is...
ludacris is good to bc of his play on words but it seems that he hasnt come out with anything good lately.

Wow, that's pretty thought through. I gotta go with Luda too, I do listen to T.I. albums more but I think everything Luda does is better, especially his deliverance. Just my view.

You went really deep when you didn't have to. Luda just wins hands down. Ti just hasn't matured enough. Luda has mastered the game and has a better all around game. Not only does he rap, but he has built up a solid business. He also produces and acts. He is building up a life aside from rapping that will carry him throughout his life. There has to be a life after rap.....Ti is still mastering the rap game, he's got a ways to go....just my personal opinion

Luda Easily Wins he's one of the greats from the south

well unlike a bunch of other Southern "rappers", T.I. isn't wack or a sellout. T.I.'s doing his thing and although I would never place him above Scarface, Ludacris, or OutKast, Goodie Mob , Little Brother etc. he makes good music and he's on his way.

i go with ludacris. everytime he does an album, he switches up his style so you don't get bored with his music. Now i got love for T.I., but everytime his album comes out, he always tryin to be hard. Rappin about when he sold drugs, which was probably over 5 years ago, and how he gangsta and you don't know him. He tries to come off as a gangsta too much. it's like, you know you ain't did nothin gangsta in probably over 10 years. don't rap about something you did in the 90's. he needs to get out of the past. or either he always makin songs about him getting captured or arrested by the police. And ludacris has a lot more originality than T.I.
