reel big fish and the mighty mighty bosstones are some that do uptempo ska-type quite well...
the voodoo glowskulls did some very nifty work with lots of brass and over-driven guitars...

Dropkick Murphys are pretty close, especially to a 'time bomb' type song.
Street Dogs, are a lot like them to.
The Clash is very similar to rancid, so if you like rancid you will like them too.
Bad Brains, H2O, Pennywise, Operation Ivy, Social Distortion, are all similar to Rancid also.
