Is buying a mandolin worth it, or should I stick with guitar?!
Question: Because I've been really thinking about switching to a mandolin seeing as everyone I know seems to have a guitar, and I want to do something different, but still am unsure whether or not I should make the transition. Help!

i agree....bass is way more fun then guitar in my opinion.......definitely check out victor wooten...(best in the world)...also check out trip wamsley, jaco pastrious, chuck rainey, alex goldstein.....all incredible player.
mandolin is only fun for about a month...i use to have one....its a hard instrument to fit into bands and certain music.....good luck!
i would suggest not to buy a mandolin
if you are wanting to be orginal with your instrument choice i would say try bass guitar
the bass guitar is a much more versitle instrument than a mandolin
bass players are very hard to come by
even though when done right is the coolest and funkiest instrument out there
