Throat Coat is good.

Also, my high school choir director gave me ths recipie. It sounds nasty, but it's really not so bad:
Mix up Tang or some kind of KoolAid. This is your base for the drink, so you probably want to mix it up a little stronger than you would normally.
Add to it a splash of lemon juice, some honey, and a dash of apple cider vinegar(I told you it would sound nasty)

The lemon juice and the vinegar work to strip all the mucus and phlegm out of your throat that can hinder your singing. Then the honey coats your vocal cords and makes them feel better.

Also, speak as little as possible today, and AVOID at all costs any kind of dairy(milk, yogurt, chocolate, etc.), and any kind of food or drink that is going to cause more phelgm in your throat.

Oh, and NEVER drink extremely cold water!!! It makes your vocal cords contract and tighten up, and your singing will sound awful. Drink it at room temperature, or slightly lukewarm. This relaxes your cords and makes it easier to sing.

drink the coldest water u can find

Good luck!

Elvis and Sinatra use to drink warm tea with a little honey in it. Give it a shot tonight and see what happens. GOOD LUCK!

Drink a tea called Throat Coat. It has special herbs that help the vocal muscles relax. If your concert is this Saturday, take today to rest your voice. Speak as little as possible, drink plenty of fluids, and get some good rest. If you have any pain, take a simple aspirin or pain killer early, and make sure you get a good night's sleep. On the day of your concert, make sure to take lots of deep breaths to support your voice, and do your vocal warm-up exercises. Good luck.

Do some crunches they help strengthen your abdomen, which is the engine for your voice. Do different pitch vocal exercises, do ra me fa so la tee. And before your concert, cough drops help moisten and loosen your throat.

Drinking cold water is actually bad for your voice right before a performance because it will stiffen the muscles - room temperature water is best.
Drinking hot tea with honey (no sugar) will help and if you're starting to get sick the best thing to clear it up right away is a combination of honey and apple cider vinegar - you can find recipes online.
Since you are doing "screaming" type vocals, it's essential that you work with a voice teacher or vocal coach to prevent you from causing any permanent damage to your instrument.
Best of luck

I have plenty of remedies!

1. Mix Orange juice with honey and drink it. This works because the honey collects all the bacteria and gunk out of your throat.

2. Gargle salt water!

3. Stretch your neck

4.Try not to talk for an half an hour or so

Hope this helped!

Have some honey...

always be prepared.

warm ups.
try: the zen of screaming (DVD)
vocal ease, clear voice spray
-what makes the spray work is the herb/root in them
-if you get that root you may save $

Hot water and honey (lemon optional for taste only)--Good luck!

My normal recommendation would be to find a honey lemon ginseng tea and add extra honey and lemon to it also add a small pinch of Cayenne pepper (it will taste terrible..but it is a sacrifice you should be willing to make)

Also if you can't find that you can just take lemon juice and fill your teacup with that and some water. add your honey and cayenne and drink that. if the lemon juice you think is going to be way too strong use margarita mix instead.
